Ohhh Nooooo, Fox News is worried about a 5.4% surtax on the rich. The wealthy will no longer be able to afford their own health care or be able to go on as many vacations. There is no justice in the world!
One after the other, they all cave in. There has been countless amounts of Democrats and other liberal voices that made comments and then retracted them because their opponents whined and whined until they got an apology.
This week we add two more people to the Spineless Hall of Fame, starting with Leon Panetta, who came out and said that Dick Cheney wants to see another terrorist attack in the United States. Shortly after those comments, a CIA spokesperson said Panetta didn’t mean to say that.
The second cave-in this week is a very disappointing one; David Letterman. He made a joke about Sarah Palin’s daughter last week and it was taken out of context (like usual by Republicans). It looked like Letterman was going to stay strong and fight the calls for an apology but eventually gave in.
It is very sad when a comedian has to apologize for a joke. If Sarah Palin didn’t want everyone making fun of her kids then maybe she shouldn’t have paraded them on stage and in front of cameras for the past several months.
Fox News covered the entire Miss California press conference today. Who cares if that bigot gets to keep her crown? She makes it sound like her profession is so important to the world. I can’t believe it is 2009 and we still have beauty pageants in this country.
